Golden Milk has been my latest obsession over the last month... I'll have my golden elixir as a latte, in smoothies, I'll even add tumeric to sauces and dressings. Why? First of all I absolutely love the spicy earthy and sweet flavor of a golden milk mix and second: tumeric is highly anti-inflamatory! So yes! Start adding more tumeric to your food friends!
Today I added some golden milk mix to my regular plant-based morning oats. I'll leave the recipe below but feel free to change the toppings, ingredients, add your protein powder to get more aminoacids in, etc..
2 cups almond milk (or any plant based milk)
1 tbsp Golden Milk Mix (I used Gaia Herbs)
Stevia, to taste
1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
Toppings: almond butter, unsweetened coconut flakes, cacao nibs and granola.
Add all the ingredients except the oats to a small pan, bring everything to a boil. Reduce the heat, add the oats. Cook for about 5 minutes. Serve in two bowls and top with your favorite toppings!
*** To make your own golden milk mix: 1 tsp tumeric, 1/2 tsp cinammon, 1/4 tsp ginger. Mix!
